SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a hydrophobic coating. Described is a method of producing a hydrophobic coating with low reflecting capacity on a substrate, comprising steps of: obtaining in a reaction chamber a substrate containing a layer of carbon nanostructures located on a substrate, feeding into the reaction chamber a coating precursor which contains a fluorocarbon and generating a plasma in the reaction chamber for deposition of the hydrophobic coating on at least a portion of the layer of carbon nanostructures, wherein either plasma generation occurs in the absence of hydrogen atoms source, and in this case substrate is heated to at least 100 °C (preferably—in range from 100 °C to 300 °C), plasma power density does not exceed 0.1 W·cm-2, and plasma is generated during a period lying in range of 3 minutes to 12 minutes, or plasma generation takes place in the presence of hydrogen atoms source, and in this case plasma power density does not exceed 0.2 W·cm-2, and plasma is generated during period lying in range from 5 seconds to 14 seconds. Also described is a substrate.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of coating with ultra-low reflecting capacity.
