FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to orthopaedic dentistry, and can be used for manufacturing of ethyl methacrylate-based dentures. Method for making a removable dental prosthesis based on ethyl methacrylate involves preparing a cast model, elements of the prosthesis and prosthesis in the wax, moulding into cuvette 1.0 SHARK, included in Averon company polymeriser, by filling the cuvette with silicon mass for duplication with subsequent cooling, after which the cuvette is disassembled, the plaster model and the wax billet are removed with teeth which are cleaned of wax. Then the gypsum model is covered with gypsum insulation from plastic, the prosthesis elements are installed back in accordance with their prints and the cuvette is collected again, filling the basic plastic in the cuvette through any of the outermost holes at the cuvette position vertically with the side openings upwards until the plastic starts to flow out of the opposite hole, is placed into the polymerisation tank, polymerization is carried out in Averon polymeriser of for 30 minutes, a prosthesis and a gypsum model are removed. After that, final treatment of the prosthesis is performed. At that, in the cuvette the three upper holes and the middle lateral hole are closed. Two casting gates 3 mm thick are preliminarily installed to the wax composition of the prosthesis with the possibility of their location in left side openings of the cuvette. After silicon hardening the gates are removed. At that, Belacryl-EGO plastic, prepared by way of mixing in ratio of polymer and monomer by weight of 5:3 at room temperature, is used to fill base plastic into the cuvette. Introduction of plastic into the cuvette is carried out under pressure by introducing into the tip of any of the outermost side casting channels formed after removal of gates with length of 3 cm and diameter of 3 mm equal to diameter of the above casting channels. Polymerisation is carried out at temperature of 110 °C and pressure of 4.5 atm. Treatment of the prosthesis involves only removal of the plastic gates and polishing according to the standard procedure.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a prosthesis based on ethyl methacrylate with a smooth surface and a homogeneous structure, which prevents the onset of inflammatory and allergic reactions of the body during operation of the prosthesis, and also facilitates hygienic care of the prosthesis; additional technical result is reduction of content of residual monomer compared to existing methods of making prostheses from plastic based on ethyl methacrylate.
