FIELD: encoding and decoding video data.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a video signal decoding method, comprising: obtaining difference coefficients relating to a current block; obtaining inverse quantisation of difference coefficients by performing inverse quantisation of difference coefficients; determining a set of conversion candidates, relating to current block, among multiple sets of conversion candidates, wherein at least number or type of candidate modes for conversion skipping mode, contained in each set of conversion candidates, are different from each other; determining a transition skipping mode for a current block based on a predetermined set of conversion candidates based on the skip mode index, indicating conversion skipping mode for current block; and obtaining difference unit related to current unit, from the inverse quantisation residual coefficients based on the thus determined skip mode for the current block.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of converting and compressing video information.
