SUBSTANCE: disclosed are strains Lactobacillus reuteri CECT-8605 and Bifidobacterium breve CECT 8606, having the ability to absorb cholesterol; composition, pharmaceutical product, fodder or food product, containing said strains; method for producing probiotic strains with high ability to absorb cholesterol, including a stage of cell inactivation or stage of cell cultivation at pH from 6 to 9, and a method of producing a microorganism with high cholesterol absorption capacity, involving bringing Bifidobacterium breve CECT 8606 into contact with a protein extract from Lactobacillus reuteri CECT-8605.
EFFECT: inventions provide treatment and/or prevention of dyslipidemia, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.
