SUBSTANCE: invention relates to indexable cutting plate (20, 120) detachably mounted. Cutting plate comprises upper and lower end surfaces (22, 24) with peripheral side surface (26) and through hole (40) extending therebetween, and multiple upper cutting edges (36) formed on upper peripheral edge (28). Peripheral side surface (26) includes non-circular upper back surface (32) adjacent to upper peripheral edge (28), and round upper contact surface (34a), located at a distance from upper peripheral edge (28). Each upper cutting edge (36) has mirror symmetry relative to the bisector plane and is non-linear in side view. Through hole (40) comprises internal undercut formed by upper and lower surfaces of hole, located on opposite sides of middle plane, and clamping element comes into contact with one of said upper and lower surfaces of hole in zone of internal contact, located between middle plane and mounting surface of holder of cutting plate.
EFFECT: as a result, recovery of railway car wheels profile is provided.
