SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an extinguisher for extinguishing an open fire flame by low frequency sound vibrations, comprises a power supply unit 1 and electrically connected in series a low frequency oscillation generator 2, amplifier 3 of low-frequency oscillations and coil 4 of electrodynamic system of subwoofer 5, to housing of which is attached resonator, made in form of cylinder 6, second base of which is closed by cover 7, having hole 8, directed towards flame extinguishing, on cylinder 6 there are structurally arranged funnel 9 and longitudinal ribs 10, on which second cylinder 11 is fixed, one base of which is made in the form of funnel 12 directed towards the flame, and the other one - hemisphere 13 covering the reverse side of the subwoofer. Internal 6 and outer 11 cylinders of the resonator can move relative to each other to adjust the distance between the centre of hemisphere 13 and the electromagnetic system of subwoofer 5. For convenience of operation to the resonator two handles are attached, from which first 14 is attached to external cylinder 11, and second 15 is to base of outer cylinder on side of electrodynamic system of subwoofer.

EFFECT: in the process of setting up the fire extinguisher, attachment of external cylinder 11 after its displacement relative to internal cylinder 6 is carried out on one of longitudinal ribs 10 with locking screw 16.
