SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire engineering, to the design of fire extinguishers for extinguishing open flame sources with low-frequency sound vibrations. The sound fire extinguisher contains a power supply unit and electrically connected in series a low-frequency signal generator, a low-frequency signal amplifier, a winding of the electromagnetic system of an electrodynamic speaker, structurally connected to a resonator made structurally from a confuser and a diffuser connected into a single structure, each of which contains an inner and outer housing, between which a damping pad is laid, made of several strips. The outlet section of the diffuser of the inner housing is closed with a lid with a hole directed towards the flame when it is extinguished. On the cover with a hole in the places of its structural connection with the outlet section of the diffuser of the inner housing, concentric slots are made, on both sides of which the outer and inner air flow cutters are fixed, made in the form of hollow cylinders, which are attached to the cover with one base, and directed to the side with the other flame source.
