FIELD: fire protection.
SUBSTANCE: method for extinguishing fires with low-frequency sound vibrations is proposed, which consists in directing an air stream created by an electrodynamic loudspeaker diffuser to the ignition source in the form of packets of pulses with a frequency of 500 Hz, following with a frequency of 25 Hz. The sound fire extinguisher for the implementation of the method contains a power supply unit 1, electrically connected in series: a generator 2 of low frequency signals, an amplifier 3 of low frequency signals and a winding of the electromagnetic system of the speaker 7, a resonator consisting of a diffuser 9 and a confuser 10 of the inner housing, which is attached with one side by a screw pair 11 to the speaker housing 7, and an outer housing made of in the form of a truncated cone, structurally connected to the inner body. The outlet section of the diffuser of the inner housing is closed with a lid 17 with an opening 18 directed to the flame source. On the lid 17, concentric slots 19 are made, framed on both sides by external 20 and internal 21 air flow cutter made in the form of hollow cylinders, which are attached to the lid 17 with one base, and directed towards the flame source with the other. In this case, the base of the outer resonator housing is made in the form of a hemisphere 15, the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the confusor part of the resonator and connected to the rest of the outer housing by a latch 16. For ease of operation, two handles 22 and 23 are attached to the resonator. The connection of the cover 17 with the diffuser 9 of the internal resonator housing is provided by screws 25. In this case, the generator 2 of low-frequency signals is made in the form of a series-connected master generator of low-frequency signals, a multivibrator and an electronic key.
