FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: disc brake (10) of the truck is made with a covering brake disc (2) floating brake calliper (1), fixed on fixed shield (6) of the brake mechanism and having central hole (9) above brake disc (2), with two brake shoes (3, 3') installed in brake support (1) with possibility of counter movement, having respectively bearing plate (4, 4') of the pad and friction pad (5, 5') fixed on it, of which active clamping shoe (3) is pressed by clamping mechanism by means of brake piston to brake disc (2), and also with expanding mechanism (8) intended for return of brake calliper (1) after displacement during braking and release of brake. Expanding device (8) comprises spring blocks (19, 19') engaged on opposite brake shoes (3, 3'), wherein expanding mechanism (8) is located in central hole (9), and spring units (19, 19') directly or indirectly outside friction pads (5, 5') are engaged with two located in the centre with distance from each other docking points (A1, A'1; A2, A'2) of braking pads (3, 3'). Spring units (19, 19') are connected to fixed docking element (18) at connection point (20) with connecting element (21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 29, 38, 39), which forms connection with possibility of cranking around lengthwise axis of central section (18a) of docking element (18).

EFFECT: increased service life of disc brake.
