FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for evaluation of adhesion quality of bimetal layers. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that ultrasonic pulses are emitted into the bimetal layer, receiving a series of echo signals arising as a result of ultrasonic reflections from the interface of the coating and the base metal, and by comparing parameters of pulses reflected from the boundary of layers and bottom pulses, quality of adhesion of bimetal layers is evaluated based on regression dependence pre-established on control samples on parameters of analyzed pulses, wherein the adhesion quality assessment is carried out based on the ultrasonic pulses energy reflected from the bimetal layers boundary and passed through it, taking into account physical laws of reflection and passage of elastic waves through the boundary of two media with different acoustic properties, wherein pulse energy values are calculated based on analysis of their spectral power density in the information frequency range, evaluation of bonding quality of bimetal layers is carried out based on the regressive dependence of the relative reflected energy pre-established on the control samples on the actual adhesion strength, the quality of adhesion is determined by the given mathematical expression.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining adhesion of bimetal layers by an ultrasonic method.
