FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and specifically to devices for generating electric power by direct conversion of fuel (hydrogen) energy, and can be used in conditions of arctic operating zone at sharply negative ambient temperatures. Power plant with fuel element contains catalytic recombiner and bubbler, at that inlet of catalytic recombiner is connected via dosing valves with air blower and hydrogen source, output of catalytic recombiner is connected to inlet of bubbler, and output of bubbler is connected through dosing valves with hydrogen and air inputs of fuel element.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is higher reliability of the power plant operation due to prevention of frost formation at start-up of methanol fuel element.
