FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to genetic engineering, biotechnology, immunology, microbiology. Described is a GBD-SSTad-SSTad recombinant protein and a method for its production on glucan involving binding of GBD-SSTad-SSTad protein in cell extracts of the strain E. coli BL21 [pGBD-SSTad-SSTad] with an alpha-glycan-containing sorbent due to affine interaction in the procedure incubation, subsequent washing from non-bound bacterial proteins and extraction of the end product. Invention also relates to an immunogenic composition and a kit containing said peptide. Invention also relates to using the produced protein to increase the number of maturing follicles and to improve quality of sperm counts. Technical result is based on the use of peptide KNFFWKTFTS, which is part of recombinant protein, which is capable of forming autoantibodies to somatostatin. Thus, the invention can be used for treating male and female infertility. Protein of the invention is immunologically active and can be easily purified. Invention is implemented by creation of a recombinant protein containing two antigenic determinants of somatostatin and glucan binding domain. There is developed a method for obtaining target protein on glucan, which involves protein binding with glucan-containing sorbent due to affine interaction, subsequent washing from unbound bacterial proteins and extraction of target product. Implementation of the invention also involves preparing an injectable preparation based on said protein and creating a method of using said preparation, comprising subcutaneous or intramuscular injections of a preparation which solves the problem of enhancing follicle- and spermatogenesis in mammalian animals, birds and humans.
EFFECT: increased number of maturing follicles and improved qualitative indices of sperm.
