FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a safety device for a tool tip, to a unit comprising a protective device for a tip, and to a method of using a protective device for a tip. Protective device for a tool tip, wherein the tool comprises an elongated rod having a distal end having an end surface, and protective device for tip includes enclosing part, first connecting element and second connecting element, and complementing each other interacting elements on each of first and second connecting elements. Protective part is made with possibility of interaction with tip and has elongated tubular part, which during use passes along rod between first and second ends, and cap, made with possibility of passing over end surface and connected to first end of tubular part. First connecting element and second connecting element extend from the second end of the tubular part and are movable relative to each other between the first disconnected position, in which it is possible to insert tool tip into barrier part and removal from it, and second position of grip, in which protector for tip captures tool rod. First and second connecting elements are shifted to the first position. Complementary interacting elements on each of the first and second connecting elements are configured to interact and retaining the first and second connecting elements in the gripping position with possibility of release. Cap is connected to the first end of the tubular part by at least one flexible connecting element. Assembly comprises the above protective device for tip and tool. Tool comprises an elongated rod having a tip having an end surface. Protective device for tip is brought into interaction with tool tip. Method of using protective device for tip intended for protection of distal tip of tool, comprises inserting a distal tip of the instrument into the elongated tubular enclosing portion of the tip security device until the end surface of the distal tip is placed in the portion of the tip protection cap portion, connected to first end of tubular enclosing part; movement of first connecting element and second connecting element of protective device for tip from disconnected position to gripping position, in which the tip guard protects the tool rod, wherein the first and second connecting members extend from the second end of the elongated tubular enclosing portion and are offset into the disengaged position; and interaction of complementary interacting elements on each of first and second connecting elements for retention with possibility of releasing first and second connecting elements in gripping position.
EFFECT: invention enables to protect the distal endoscope or borescope tip from damage.
