FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a glove box locking system for an automotive vehicle, such compartment and method of holding its door. Glove box door is installed in instrument panel housing. Glove box door comprises movable locking rod and adjoining locking plate. In case the vehicle is involved in the collision, the blocking plate engages the locking rod. Engaged blocking plate stops movement of the locking rod, fixing the locking rod in the closed position and preventing opening of the glove box door. Provided are exemplary methods and structures for limiting movement of locking rods.
