SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cutting tool. Cutting tool comprises a tip, a body and a shank to attach the cutting tool to the tool holder. Body has an outer surface of the body, a tail end of the body located on the side of the shank, and a body tip located on the side of the tip. Tip has outer surface of tip, tip point and base of tip attached to body tip. Cutting tool comprises a plurality of grooves extending substantially continuously through the outer surface of the tip and the outer surface of the body, wherein each groove has a predetermined elongation in the longitudinal direction of the cutting tool.
EFFECT: technical result is higher wear and cooling characteristics, allowing to apply smaller cutting forces.
