FIELD: processing of materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used in the machining of alloys, in particular titanium, using a milling tool. The tool has an elongated cutting head made with a plurality of teeth and grooves, and a plurality of cooling slots deeply located in the chamfer area of each tooth between the cutting edge and the trailing edge. Chamfer slots do not extend and are physically separated from the cutting edge to optimize cutting through radially matched cutting edges and to accelerate heat transfer and heat dissipation from the back of the teeth.
EFFECT: longer tool life.
