FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for making articles from carbon-silicon carbide materials with special properties, intended for use in chemical, chemical-metallurgical industry, as well as in aircraft engineering. Device for siliconizing by vapor-liquid-phase method comprises main heaters arranged around external retort, bottom heater for heating crucibles with silicon, inner closed volume retort with siliconized workpiece and silicon crucibles arranged inside it, consolidated in its lower part, flow-through reactor, heat insulation from porous coal-graphite materials and pneumo-gas-vacuum system. Outer and inner retorts are made of several parts and arranged coaxially to each other with clearance, and outer retort is equipped with nipples to connect inter-reactor gap with pneumo-gas-vacuum system. Main heaters of the device have in the lower part a less high-temperature zone located opposite the crucible with silicon; wherein main heaters and bottom heater are equipped with autonomous power sources. Lower part of main heaters preferably has power of 1.09–1.15 times less than their upper part.

EFFECT: broader technological capabilities of making articles with special properties: almost free of silicon, as well as low permeability, which widens the field of use thereof; while simplifying production and preserving operational characteristics of articles.
