FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry and can be used in making shell molds. Shell molds are annealed by heating to the specified temperature and further curing. Simultaneously with said heating, material of outer layer of shell mold is foamed, which promotes its thickening at low linear expansion coefficients.
EFFECT: reduced compression and tensile stresses in the shell mold during its pouring with liquid metal, which increases the resistance of the shell mold and eliminates the use of the support filler.
