FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of reducing fictitious temperature of optical fiber, optical fiber, devices for processing optical fiber. Method of reducing fictitious temperature of optical fiber includes a step of maintaining temperature of optical fiber between 1000 °C and 1700 °C for a period of time, making at least 0.5 s. At that, the traction speed is more than 30 m/s. Device for processing optical fiber comprises a heated processing area configured to receive optical fiber moved in a first direction of movement. Treatment area includes a first zone configured to support the optical fiber at a first temperature between 1000 °C and 1700 °C. According to first version, first zone includes first pneumatic hydraulic bearing, configured to redirect optical fiber from first direction of movement to second direction of movement. First pneumohydraulic bearing redirects from the first movement direction to the second movement direction without direct contact with the optical fiber. According to the second version, the device comprises a treatment area, which includes one or more heated pneumohydraulic bearings, which are configured to receive and move the optical fiber. According to the third version, heated pneumatic bearing has temperature between 500 °C and 1500 °C. Group of inventions also includes an optical fiber made by a method for reducing the fictitious temperature of the optical fiber.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of fictitious temperature.
