FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of plasma spraying of coating on working surface of cylinder of cylinder block of piston internal combustion engine. Method of plasma spraying for application of steel or ceramic coating on working surface of aluminium cylinder in cylinder block of piston internal combustion engine includes application of coating on working surface of cylinder of cylinder block, at least partially, at burner rotation speed of 600–800 rpm, sprayed material feed rate of 80–180 g/min, burner advance speed of 24–75 mm/s.
EFFECT: method enables to limit formation of oxides or oxide stitches in the layer structure and thereby prevent knockout of oxides and formation of microscratchings as a result.
