SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of diagnostic test elements. Diagnostic test element for determining an analyte contained in a blood sample has a test field containing a transparent film deposited on the transparent film of the detector layer and one separation layer arranged above the detector layer for separation of red blood cells and blood pigments from analysed sample. In this separating layer comprises SiO2 in an amount of from 1.0 to 1.6 g/m2 and the solid components from a saturated them disperse systems comprising at least one light-scattering pigment and obtained by dispersing solid components in the coating composition, which forms a separating layer, until their maximum content, after which further increase in the amount of dispersed solid components is not observed (plateau stage). Also disclosed is a coating composition, a method of making a diagnostic test element and use of a diagnostic test element.
EFFECT: group of inventions increases level of dispersity of solid substances of the separating layer, which enables to minimize differences in kinetics of diffuse reflection between separate batches of test elements.
