SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conveyor drives. Drive of discrete-action conveyor comprises motor, converter of continuous rotary motion into discrete, master and driven pulleys, conveyor belt, at that, motion converter includes housing, in which input and output shafts are coaxially installed, central fixed gear wheel rigidly fixed on housing coaxially to input shaft, satellite consisting of cylindrical gear wheel and elliptic gear wheel of satellite, located on satellite shaft, carrier mounted on input shaft and connected via rotary kinematic pair with satellite shaft, elliptical gear wheel fixed on output shaft. Elliptic gear wheels have identical sizes and are installed on shafts so that axis of rotation of each shaft passes through center of division ellipse of elliptic gear wheel, besides, central fixed gear wheel with radius r₁=a consists in engagement with cylindrical gear wheel of satellite with radius r₂=b, where a and b are large and small semi-axes of elliptical wheels.

EFFECT: providing a more compact structure while maintaining the possibility of transmitting greater forces.
