SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building. Gear mechanism with intermittent motion of output link comprises housing, in which input and output shafts are coaxially installed, central fixed gear wheel rigidly fixed on housing coaxially to input shaft, a satellite consisting of a cylindrical gear wheel and an elliptical gear wheel located on a satellite shaft, a carrier mounted on the input shaft and connected via a rotational kinematic pair to the satellite shaft, an elliptical gear wheel fixed on the output shaft. Elliptic gear wheels have identical sizes and are installed on shafts so that axis of rotation of each shaft passes through center of division ellipse of elliptic gear wheel, besides, the central fixed gear wheel with radius r₁=a consists in engagement with a satellite gear wheel of the satellite with radius r₂=b.

EFFECT: simplified design and increased service life of gear mechanism.
