FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining location of an object in surrounding space. Essence of the invention is as follows. Reference image is received on the moving medium at a first moment in time and recorded by a reference optical system. Carrier moves forward to the position when the compared optical system at the second moment in time is as close as possible to the position of the reference optical system at the first moment in time. At the second moment in time, the compared image is formed and recorded by the compared optical system. Obtained images are combined and compared in order to identify the appeared or shifted target of its localized part on the difference image. Angular coordinates – azimuth and elevation angle – of the localized target relative to the main optical axis of the compared optical system are determined from the coordinates on the difference image, and the distance to the localized target is also determined.
EFFECT: high detecting ability when searching for objects.
