SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunications. Device for remote connection of SIM-cards comprises a microprocessor module for data exchange with a modem and performing emulation of a SIM card, a module for transmitting data over a wire interface with a range of up to 100 meters, a data receiving module and a microprocessor module which communicates with a SIM card placed in the remote connection device.
EFFECT: higher signal level (RSSI) when placing a modem outdoors in zones with low signal strength of a basic station, as well as enabling rapid replacement of the SIM card in case of failure.
