FIELD: laser engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of controlling the discharge of a capacitive energy storage device during pulsed supply of pumping lamps of a solid-state laser is based on analysis of parameters of pulsed pumping lamps pre-ionisation pulses, which is performed before the power stage of discharge in the main operating mode of the capacitive energy storage device, and automatic generation of control action, which prohibits power stage of discharge in case of conclusion on faulty condition of pumping lamps. Prior to standard modes of operation of accumulator, during tests of pumping lamps with simulation of emergency situations, amplitude-time characteristics of pre-ionisation currents are experimentally recorded at different values of charge voltage of energy accumulator. Limits of allowable deviations from these parameters are determined, for each value of charging voltage there formed is amplitude-time range characterizing serviceable state of pumping lamp. Recording pulses of discharge current of lamps pre-ionisation during the main mode, performing dynamic comparison of parameters recorded in real time during main mode, pulses of pre-ionisation currents with amplitude-time range characterizing good condition of the lamp. Comparison is carried out at a time interval from the beginning to the end of pre-ionisation current pulses prior to the moment of signal transmission initiating the power stage of the capacitive energy storage in the main mode. Functional state of the pumping lamp is determined based on the results of the comparison; the criterion of the faulty state is deviation of parameters of the detected pre-ionisation current pulse from the amplitude-time range characterizing the serviceable state of the lamp. Discharge of the capacitive energy storage is controlled by automatic decision to prohibit power stage of the main mode discharge in case of conclusion about the faulty state of the lamp.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of power amplifier of solid-state laser installation and in possibility of automatic control of power stage of discharge of capacitance energy storage in main mode.
