FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fodder production. Fodder contains: granule; first coating applied directly on outer surface of granule and containing glycerine plasticizer; and second coating applied on first coating and containing fat and structure-forming agent. Glycerine plasticiser is contained in amount of more than 1 % and less than 8 % by weight of granule after application of first coating and second coating. Granule has moisture content less than 12 % after application of first and second coatings. Granule can additionally contain internal plasticiser glycerine and acid. Second coating may contain 1 % to 5 % of structure-forming agent by wight of second coating composition. Structure-forming agent can be fat with high melting temperature, edible wax or emulsifier. Method of dry fodder softening includes steps of: fodder is produced in form of granules with moisture content less than 12 %, wherein granule contains inner plasticiser glycerine; application of first coating containing external plasticiser glycerin on outer surface of granule, containing internal plasticiser glycerine; and application of second coating containing fat and structure-forming agent onto first coating.
EFFECT: group of inventions ensures production of fodder with crispy texture and improved mouthfeel at eating, which provides improved attractiveness of fodder.
