SUBSTANCE: system (100) comprises capsule (30, 30A, 30B) and evaporation unit (20) made with possibility of detachable connection with capsule (30, 30A, 30B). Capsule (30, 30A, 30B) comprises reservoir (300) for containing liquid aerosol-generating substrate, fluid communication hole with reservoir (300) and valve (380), configured to control the flow of the aerosol-generating liquid substrate from reservoir (300) through the opening. Valve (380) comprises one or several resilient closing parts (381, 382) displaced towards closed position. Evaporation unit (20) comprises housing (240), liquid transfer element (210) arranged in housing (240), and heating element (220) arranged in housing (240). Heating element (220) is made with possibility of liquid heating in element (210) for liquid transfer. Evaporation unit (20) also comprises elongated element extending from near end of unit (20). Elongated element is configured to receive valve (380), to cause deviation of one or more resilient closing parts (381, 382) from closed position and lead to opening of valve (380) as far end of capsule (30, 30A, 30B) moves towards proximal end of evaporation unit (20). Fluid transfer element (210) is located in fluid connection with reservoir (300) through hole when valve (380) is open.
EFFECT: disclosed is an aerosol-generating system with separate capsule and an evaporation unit.
