FIELD: heating equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for quality control of ammonia heat pipe includes applying filter paper moistened with indicator solution containing 3 % solution of CoCl2⋅6H2O, on the controlled pipe section, determining the leak point by the appearance of spots or points colored from blue to blue-violet, almost black, depending on the amount of ammonia supplied, wherein to the middle of the heat pipe, pulse heat supply is performed, and the controlled pipe section with the ammonia indicator applied thereto is heat sealed with the help of optically transparent material.

EFFECT: technical result is shorter time for monitoring defective areas, high information content of control, high sensitivity and reduced methodological error of method.
