FIELD: heat exchange.

SUBSTANCE: coil heat exchanger (1) is proposed for indirect heat exchange between two-phase first medium (M) and second medium (M'), having housing (5), which surrounds space (6) of housing and passes along longitudinal axis (z), inlet (7) for supply of two-phase first medium (M) into space (6) of housing, bundle (3) of pipes, which is located in space (6) of housing and has multiple pipes (30) for passage of second medium (M'), which are spirally wound around longitudinal axis (z), and separating device (2) for separation of gas phase (G) from liquid phase (F) of two-phase first medium (M). According to invention separating device (2) has tray (4), which is located above tube bundle (3) and serves to collect the liquid phase (F), wherein tray (4) has a plurality of nozzles (50, 70) for separating the two phases (F, G), wherein corresponding branch pipe (50, 70) protrudes from the tray on the side of tray (4) facing away from tube bundle (3), is closed by cover (52, 72) and opens into through hole (40) in tray (4), and between which corresponding opening (51, 71) is made between corresponding cover (52, 72) and upper end of corresponding branch pipe (50, 70), through which gas phase (G) can flow into corresponding branch pipe (50, 70). Invention also relates to a corresponding method of heat exchanger operation.

EFFECT: disclosed is a separating device for coil heat exchangers for separation of gas phase from liquid phase of two-phase medium supplied from skin side.
