FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to three versions of locally reversible suture with notches and method of wound closure in tissue. In the first version, the thread comprises a flexible filamentary element having a first end, intended for drawing a thread through a fabric in a first direction, a second end intended for drawing a thread through a fabric in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and a longitudinal axis, extending between first and second ends. Thread has pairs of aligned notches protruding outside from the flexible filamentary element lying in one plane and directed to the second end of the flexible whisker element. Each of the notches has a base connected to a flexible filamentary element, a blunt tip spaced from the base, an anterior edge, extending between the base and the blunt tip and facing the first end of the flexible filamentary element, and a back edge extending between the base and the tip and facing the second end of the flexible threadlike element. Leading edge of the notch and the longitudinal axis of the flexible threadlike element form the first obtuse angle facing the first end of the flexible threadlike element, and rear edge of notch and longitudinal axis of flexible thread-like element form second obtuse angle facing second end of flexible thread-like element. In the second version of the thread, each of the notches additionally contains a transition surface passing between the rear edge of the notch and a flexible filamentary element. Line of perpendicular to longitudinal axis of flexible threadlike element passes tangentially through transition surface and radius of obtuse surface of tip. In the third version, the thread comprises a transition surface extending between the rear edge and the flexible filamentary element. Method of wound closure in tissue involves providing locally reversible suture with notches. Method comprises introducing retention suture with notches into fabric and drawing first end of flexible thread-like element to advance suture with notches through fabric in first direction and after retention suture with notches in first direction of drawing beyond second end of flexible thread-like element to move suture with notches through fabric in second direction opposite to first direction.
EFFECT: technical result is passage through tissue in two directions, without injuring tissue and without damaging a notch and required strength of attachment of tissues when they are brought together.
