FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method involves planting of root grafts in September, in early October in open soil at depth of 10 cm. Rhizome is divided into hefts 15 cm long, spacing between sprouts of 0.3 m to 0.5 m, spacing between rows from 0.8 m to 0.9 m. Due to the fact that the French willow sprouts and will make it difficult to care, to prolong the period of collection of raw materials for production of tea for two weeks, French willow is cultivated on both sunny and shady areas. After appearance of sprouts surface area is mulched up to 6–8 cm height, for example, straw. Before germination of sprouts surface area is constantly moistened. If height of sprouts is about 10 cm, watering is reduced to 1–2 times a week depending on weather, loosening of soil, weeding - once a month. In the autumn period one performs top dressing with mineral fertilizers and ash, before sprinkling the sprouts are shortened to 15 centimetres. After snow descent, sprouts are cut at height of 3–5 cm to stimulate growth of new stems and leaves. Period of cultivation of French willow on the same place is for 4–5 years, after which the roots must be extracted from the soil, divided into parts and planted on the other sections. From lodging during heavy rain and gusty wind wire is stretched along and across the rows with distance of 3–4 m between them, from seedlings, French willow is cultivated only for initial or accelerated reproduction.
EFFECT: method ensures higher yield of French willow.
