FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates, in particular, to iron-based powder compositions. Powder composition based on iron contains 0.05–1 wt % improving addability of machining, containing at least one synthetic titanate compound MxO*nTiO2, where x is 1 or 2, n is number from 1 to less than 20, M is Li, Na, K or Mg, Ca, Ba or a combination thereof. Particle size of the titaniumate compound X95 is less than 50 mcm.
EFFECT: higher machinability, in particular, at machine processing without change of compactability and mechanical properties of item.
