FIELD: methods of marking.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of marking various types of liquids, mainly for identification and protection against counterfeits of process liquids used in oil industry. Disclosed is the use of a water-soluble metal salt of f-subgroups of a periodic system or a mixture of water-soluble salts of f- and / or d-subgroups of the periodic system in a molar ratio of metal cations within range of 10 as a marker for process fluids, selected from the group, including: bottomhole formation treatment fluid, bed injection fluids, downhole equipment flushing fluids, liquids for colmatants removal from pipelines or reservoirs, well killing fluid, wherein cations are selected from a group comprising: chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), cerium (Ce), molybdenum (Mo), cadmium (Cd), lanthanum (La), europium (Eu), gadolinium (Gd), and terbium (Tb), wherein concentration of marker is selected so that to achieve reliable quantitative identification of metal cations by atomic absorption, atomic emission or mass spectrometry methods. Methods of marking and identifying a fluid are also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides reliable and fast identification of liquid using analytical equipment widely used in practice.
