FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and can be used in designing and developing active sonar systems for various purposes. Method for processing sonar information comprises emitting a signal, receiving a reflected echo signal with a fan of static directional characteristics, with formation of spatial channels, digital multichannel processing, display of an array of successive temporal realizations in a luminance mode over the propagation time in all spatial channels, for each detected echo, a spatial channel with a maximum echo signal amplitude is determined, determining distance D from time position of maximum amplitude, determining angular position Q1 spatial characteristic, in which an echo signal is detected relative to the sonar motion direction, distance R1 is determined to point of intersection with direction of movement of sonar R1=D1/cosQ1, emitting second probing signal, measuring distance D2 and angular position Q2 by spatial characteristic, to which second probing signal is received, distance R is determined2 to intersection point R2=D2/cosQ2, own speed Vown is measured and distance d, traveled during time between first and second transmissions q=V(T2-T1), where T2 and T1 radiation times of the second and first probing signals, and a decision is made that reflection from the wire or cable is detected if R2=R1-V(T2-T1), and the meeting time Tmeet=T2+R2\Vown.
EFFECT: method is proposed for processing of sonar information.
