FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used for fabrication of thin-woven article with lug. Thin-piece forged piece is formed to produce two articles. Melt is heated to casting temperature. Melt volume is selected equal to the volume of the cavity of the die impression. Volume intended for filling the upper half of the die is placed in the lower half of the die in two compensation chambers on opposite sides of the thin piece of the forged piece. In order to prevent melt flow from the die in the compensation chambers, punches are arranged before filling. After pouring melt upper and lower halves of die are closed. Then, male dies are moved towards each other in compensating chambers and melt is displaced into cavity of die impression. All elements of forged piece are filled to preset pressure. Then the die is retained in the closed state till complete melt crystallisation during the preset time and the forged piece is removed from the die. Forged piece is cut into two articles along their junction line.
EFFECT: as a result, reduced metal consumption and improved quality of obtained articles.
