FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to foundry production, particularly, to out-of-furnace modification technology, and can be used for production of ingots from aluminum alloys. Plant for melt modifying, comprising device for supply of modifying rod to melt, metal cake and device for ultrasonic treatment of melt, in addition, is equipped with a channel inside metal tract with upper detachable cover, where devices for supply of modifying rod, gas supply to melt and ultrasonic treatment of melt, wherein the additional channel has a variable cross-section increasing in the direction of movement of the melt, and in the zone of ultrasonic treatment of the melt in the upper detachable cover there is a casing with a pipeline for gas discharge.

EFFECT: unit increases efficiency of the modification process and improves quality of ingots.
