SUBSTANCE: method envisages gas flow with high content of carbon monoxide, supply of gas flow with high content of carbon monoxide into direct reduction furnace and subjecting the partially or completely reduced iron oxide to a gas stream with a high carbon monoxide content with high content of carbon in the obtained reduced iron. At that, flow of gas with high content of carbon monoxide is provided by obtaining a stream of converted gas in a reforming unit, its cooling with removal of water, cold dry converted gas flows through a compressor configured to increase its pressure and flow through the CO extraction unit. At that, gas flow with high content of carbon monoxide fed into furnace is mixed with gas flow with high content of hydrocarbons, wherein prior to mixing, gas stream with high content of carbon monoxide contains at least 60 % CO.
EFFECT: invention relates to a method and system for producing direct reduced iron with high content of carbon.
