MULTICHANNEL ACOUSTIC EMISSION DEVICE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01N29/14

Abstract RU 2726278 C1

FIELD: non-destructive inspection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-destructive testing and can be used in strength tests of composite and metal structures. Multichannel acoustic emission device consists of acoustic transducers (2) connected to a module of four measuring channels, each of which is made in form of series-connected two-position switch (13), band-pass filters (16), programmable amplifier with variable amplification factor (18) connected to detector (19), comparator (21) input and analogue-to-digital converter (20) connected to inputs of adder (24) and two-position switch (22) and digital bus of control device (29), random-access memory (28), computer central processor (30), digital signal processor (27), detector is connected to integrator (23), connected to input of adder (24) connected to two-position switch (22) connected to comparator (21), connected to control device (15) and connected to input of each channel of programmed pre-amplifier (3), consisting of program-controlled two-position switch (4) and low-pass filter (5), program-controlled amplifier (7), buffer amplifier (8), comparator (9), microcontroller (10), digital-to-analogue converter (12) and a reference voltage source (11).

EFFECT: invention widens the dynamic range of processed signals, high accuracy of determining coordinates of defects owing to high accuracy of determining speed of sound during calibration, and protection from interference and noise.
