FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical diagnostics, more specifically to measurement of electrical conductivity or body part resistance. Method of measuring transient capacitance between electrodes and human skin using two electrodes mounted on skin involves the following actions. Inductance of the known denomination is connected to the measuring electrode, thereby creating a circuit consisting of serially connected inductance, a measuring electrode, an earthing electrode and a skin tissue site between two electrodes. Excitation signal is supplied to the input of the created circuit. Parameters of signal-response of circuit are measured on measuring electrode. Further, said transient capacitance value is determined.
EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of determining value of transient capacitance between electrodes and human skin, which can be used to correct results of bio-impedance measurements.
