FIELD: storage technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of storing plant growing products and can be used for long-term storage of apples and pears. Fruit storage method includes treatment of fruit raw material with electromagnetic field of low frequency. Before treatment with a low-frequency electromagnetic field, the fruits are treated with an aqueous extract of a mixture of dry leaves and pericarps of walnuts, obtained by infusing for 1–2 hours the milled dry leaves and dry walnut pericarp in saturated water at ratio of saturated water : walnut leaves : walnut pericarp – 20:1:1 with further filtration. Treatment with aqueous extract is carried out by spraying on fruit with droplet diameter of 5–10 mcm at distance of 40–50 cm (consumption of water extract is 10–12 ml/kg). Low-frequency electromagnetic field is treated in two steps. At the first stage – with carrier frequency of 19–23 kHz and modulating oscillation frequency of 17–20 Hz for 27–35 minutes, and at the second stage – frequency-modulated electromagnetic field with carrier frequency 13–16 kHz and modulating oscillation frequency 36–39 Hz for 11–13 hours.
EFFECT: invention usage allows to enhance the product quality during storage.
