SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for tempering articles, in particular for drying car bodies with applied coating, comprising tempering chamber and cooling zone adjacent to tempering chamber, a tempering device for producing tempered air, a control unit and a heat exchanger. According to the invention, the heat exchanger comprises an ambient air supply pipeline, a warm air supply pipeline connected to the cooling zone and/or tempering device, and a cooling air discharge pipeline connected to the cooling zone, wherein the control unit is configured to conduct ambient air tempering through the ambient air supply pipeline, using warm air supplied via warm air supply pipeline. Invention also relates to a method of controlling said device.
EFFECT: device for tempering articles and a method of controlling article tempering device are disclosed.
