SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of thin strips by continuous casting with two casting rolls. Device for installation of side partition wall comprises positioning device of side partition, drive device for actuation of positioning device with rectilinear movement between first specified position, in which the positioning device has the possibility of installing a side partition, a second predetermined position, in which the distance between the side partition and the end surface of the casting roll is 2–10 mm, and a third predetermined position, in which the side partition is attached to the casting roller end surface with a predetermined force. Besides, device for installation contains control system made with possibility to control movement of positioning device by means of said drive device with the possibility of attaching the side partition to the end surface of the casting roll or separation from it.
EFFECT: use of the invention increases efficiency of the strip casting process.
