FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of modes of operation of self-contained hybrid complexes with combined generation of electric energy, which include diesel power plant with one or several DGU, as well as one or several types of RER. Method consists in that based on obtained from external source predicted meteorological data prediction unit calculates predicted power generation RER, as well as using data from power meter in network – predicted power consumption. In case of occurrence of active power deficiency in the network, determined from deviation and rate of change of current frequency, as well as when the optimal level of loading of the operating DGU is exceeded, instead of switching on the next DGU controller based on the data coming from the prediction unit and information on the level of charge of the accumulator batteries, evaluates the expediency of connecting storage batteries.

EFFECT: due to reduced number of starts and short-term intervals of DGU operation at low load, reduced fuel consumption and longer service life of DGU.
