FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary drying of dead bees to a residual moisture content of about 10 % by holding initial raw materials laid in thin layers in open air, or by means of air flows in a dry heated room, at temperature of not more than 45 °C. Dried raw materials are ground to homogeneous mass with particle size of not more than 1.5 mm. Ground raw material is mixed with drinking quality water at a weight ratio of 1:1 to obtain a homogeneous mixture and milled in a planetary ball mill with rotation speed of the planetary disc of not less than 450 rpm, at duration of not less than 15 minutes, using steel balls with diameter of 10 mm as milling bodies.

EFFECT: invention ensures production of a functional food ingredient.
