FIELD: vehicle electric equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical equipment of a motor vehicle or a road train from a tractor and a trailer. Electrical equipment includes working braking device, electrically controlled by electronic device (EBS/ABS-ECU) of braking control and driven by medium under pressure, and a driver assistance system or autopilot device (70) which automatically controls the service braking device or controls it independently from the driver in accordance with the braking action instruction. According to the invention, it is provided that in case of failure of electronic device (EBS/ABS-ECU) of braking control or its electric power source (126) additional electronic control device (FBM-ECU) detects braking blocking based on sensor device data, which is supplied from standby power source (128), and then reduces braking pressure in comparison with braking pressure instruction by driver assistance system or autopilot device (70). Vehicle is also disclosed.

EFFECT: fault-tolerant control of the braking device is achieved, so that in case of faults in the braking system, the main "braking" function can be guaranteed for a certain period of time even without driver participation, until reliable state of system is achieved, for example, car stop or parking condition with long-lasting brakes; reserve braking is performed with as small as possible braking distance.
