FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to obstetrics. For treating pregnant women with fetoplacental insufficiency in 2–3 trimester, inhalations are performed in spontaneous breathing mode. Inhalation used is heated to 50–60 °C mixture of helium 70–75 % and oxygen 25–35 %, in which concentration of oxygen every two minutes is first increased by 2 %, and then reduced every 2 minutes by 2 % with total duration of inhalation 10 min 2–3 times a day in for 5–10 days. Inhalations are terminated after obtaining satisfactory indices of haemodynamics in vessels of the fetoplacental complex and normalization of its hormonal function.
EFFECT: method provides normalization of foetus growth, prolongation of pregnancy to optimal terms and, as a result, birth of healthy children.
