In chemical formula 2: each of R1-R5 is independently at least one selected from a group consisting of hydrogen, C1-C10 alkyl group and silicon (Si) substituted with C1-C10 alkyl group, each of R6-R15 is independently at least one selected from a group consisting of hydrogen and C1-C10 alkyl group, R16 is hydrogen, M is titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr) or hafnium (Hf) and X represents C1-C10 hydrocarbon group. Also disclosed is a catalyst composition for olefin polymerization and a method of producing an olefin polymer.
EFFECT: disclosed catalyst simplifies control of molecular weight depending on type of substitute of cyclopentadienyl ligand.
