SUBSTANCE: method includes bringing the oscillating element into oscillatory motion using an excitation signal, receiving the oscillation signal from the oscillating element, measuring the phase difference between the excitation signal and the oscillation signal, determining phase mismatch between the target phase difference and the measured phase difference and calculating one or more oscillation control components using said determined phase mismatch.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of controlling vibrations of an oscillating element based on phase mismatches.
