FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. Proposed method comprises heating of cargo in cars before freight train arrives at unloading station. Heating of cargo in cars is carried out using moving parts of infrared radiators and electromechanical converters. Device for heating frozen cargo in cars comprises infrared radiators mounted on car walls using U-shaped structures, electric power source and electric power supply circuit. Electric circuit comprises current collector, discharger, automatic circuit breaker, voltage switch, heat flow rate control system with temperature sensors and inverter-converter. Electric power source for power supply of infrared emitters and electromechanical converters are: at direct current – generator of electric locomotive, and at alternating current – winding of auxiliary needs of the main transformer of electric locomotive.

EFFECT: reduced power consumption during cargo heating.
